HUGE UPDATE! 271 Photos added! (Okay, so yeah, I got behind!)

As before, the links and details of the pic locations are on the side.

So, I have added some new categories today. My best friend's cats, Loco and Precious, have joined the Pets gallery family, and some of her flowers in her yard (totally prettier and doing better than mine) have been added to the TN flowers section. I have somehow, accidently, gotten into bird watching from inside my office, so look for that in scenery. I have a lot of nature-y pic category that I snuck into the flower section. Finally, I went on a family vacation that yielded a wealth of pictures in multiple sections.

I also have redone the Unintentionally Hilarious section to make it better. (Well, in my opinion, at least.(

Enjoy (Totally Peach-free!),

Jenn

Yay! New Layout. It features one of the newest crop of kittens. Who would of thought that a kitten playing in rolled up horse fencing would be so darn cute? (Well, I guess they are always cute.)

Peace without Peaches...

New Feature Added!

Peace w.o Peaches!

May 8, 2008

Picture Updates are listed to the side (note that the list is now linked)

Gallery: I have reorganized and under each heading the pics are now divided by year (so you no longer have to go through the old when you are just looking for the new). I have also gone through and cleaned up a lot of the categories (got rid of duplicates and such).

---******---

Here's a little something extra! (oh yeeah) I have been asked about the color and shading affects on some of the photos (especially since the flower ones have gone up). First off, it is all done during the shoot, or by using a setting on the actual camera before the shot is taken. (Unless it is specified edit) First example here is two shots taken within seconds of each other with me standing in the same place. The difference is I adjusted the white balance setting on the camera.

It makes a huge difference! My next example is a set of 3 flower pics.

The first one is taken with traditional setings. The second is taken with a tweak to the shutter and aperture setting. The third is with a slower shutter and a change to the white setting. (oh and I had taken a couple of steps back)

Photography is all subjective, I believe. It just depends on what your aesthetic is. I tend to go for over vibrant colors and let more light in than most. (Though I am sure you have noticed.) Other things like sunlight and such make for completely different looking shots (even if they are taken within seconds of each other.)

Hope this explains some or generates interest.

Peace (oh you know the rest) XO

Note: I am not a classically trained photographer. I am self taught; I bought a book once but have yet to read it. (I don't do well with manual-type reads) These are my opinions based on 4 years of meager experience with a even meager budget.

Today, I'm adding the second installment of Tennessee Flowers. It basically includes tulips (of course!), flocks, and my fav the bleeding heart. Hope you enjoy!

Note: I have gotten a few email asking if these flowers only grow in Tennessee. My answer is no, I don't think so. But I'm in tennessee and they grow here. Pardon the answer, but I'm no flower-ologist. Peace (oh yes, without peaches!)

Added today are the pics I managed to snap of one of the cutest little boy's bday party yesterday. (I know, say it ain't so with the quick updating!) Hope you enjoy them. I have place them in the new 300x400 size format for easier viewing, but unfortunately I don't have the original 1600x1200's for these. (accidently deleted them, sorry).

I also had 'a funny' at the church house where this was being held. I saw some pretty flowers out front of the sanctuary entrance and snapped a few pics (for the collection, you see). Then I got to looking. THEY WERE FAKE! I don't know whether to be upset that I didn't notice until 10 pics in, or to be taken aback by people putting plastic flowers in dirt.

Well, they are obvious good flowers though. Sure fooled me, and sure makes upkeep a breeze. (I'll take a mental note.)

April showers, y'all!

Back yet again, but this time with new and, believe it or not, current pics. The details can be found on the side text box.

I also went through my gall folder on my side and found that the organization was to the poot. So, you may notice that pics aren't in the same places as they once were. I intend to change it a few more times until it is better, so bare with me. I hope it makes it easier for everyone to navigate around.

Here's to spring and a rainbow of nature pics to come.

Note: for a more detailed explanation of the current pic set check out my blog post of the same subject. (Link to the post)

Back again, unfortunately not with any new pics but I dig correct the featured France section. The captions are corrected now and I beg you to check them out again.

Today, I dusted off the the ol' cam, so look forward to new pictures coming soon.

Peace without peaches.... XOXOX
